Headline: Lions Attempt to Avenge Early Season Loss to Riders on Saturday Night
The BC Lions may have been lucky in Week 13 pulling one out late against Toronto. The Lions stay on the road this week when they pay visit to Saskatchewan to play one of the few teams to beat them this season.

BC has won three straight and seven of their last eight games heading into Saturday night’s game while the Riders picked up an important Western Division win against the Stampeders last week.
BC rode their defense to the victory last week proving once again that this team can beat you on both sides of the ball.
Travis Lulay built on his impressive streak of 23 straight games with a TD toss but he was a little off despite passing for 260 yards and that one touchdown.
Good news Lions fans – Geroy Simon finally showed up and proved why he is one of the best in the game. He finally caught his first TD of the season. Simon has just 46 catches, 635 yards and a TD in 12 games so far this season however.
Another good sign for the Lions ahead of their Saturday showdown was the re-emergence of Andrew Harris. After a couple of fairly quiet outings, Harris was by far the busiest man on the field in Week 13.
He rushed for 103 yards and led the team in receiving last week with 78 yards.

Harris is now the league leader in yards from scrimmage and is a force that the Riders will have to pay a ton of attention to.
BC’s defense is as advertised – stout and without a doubt the best unit in the game.
They will do their jobs against Saskatchewan; there is little doubt about that.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders badly needed a win last week and that’s what they got – 30-25 over Calgary. Darian Durrant had his best game in quite some time passing for 264 yards and two touchdowns and for once, he didn’t turn the ball over!
Weston Dressler, the CFL’s second leading rusher and TD leader Kory Sheets and a rejuvenated Darian Durrant will be a challenge.
Saskatchewan’s defense has been unspectacular so far this season except at home where they have looked like world-beaters in giving up just 98 points in six games.
Against BC they are going to have a typically huge home effort – the Lions are the top dogs for a reason!

Saskatchewan QB Darian Durrant detests playing against the BC Lions.
Check this out – he has zero touchdowns and five interceptions in his last four starts versus the Lions – not all that encouraging for you Riders fans.
But I expect Saskatchewan to hang around in this one only to have Andrew Harris take over in the end.
